The continuing education requirement for all North Carolina licensees is 8 hours per year. Cosmetologists may complete the 24 hours of continuing education any time within the cosmetologist's three-year licensing cycle. No licensee shall receive credit for course duplication completed during the licensing cycle. Estheticians and manicurists must complete courses in their subject area. The education provider shall submit to the Board, within ten days after completion of each course, an attendance list of licensees who completed the course.
Please note that when we report your credits to the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners, there is a two-step process which they have put in place that may delay the actual posting of your credit for up to 3 weeks.
Therefore, please allow enough time to pass before contacting customer support with questions related to credit reporting. We appreciate your patience.
NEW! Cosmetologists will be permitted to earn up to 12 hours of internet CE hours per licensing cycle. Manicurists and estheticians will be permitted to earn up to 4 hours per licensing cycle.
